LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The Fashion English Course aims to prepare future designers and tailors to face foreign markets while mastering technical terminology.
During lessons, taught by bilingual teachers and professionals, the student will have the opportunity to put into practice the acquired knowledge through simulated interviews with European and American companies.
The course is divided into two modules: Theory and Practice. The first one consists of grammar exercises, listening and reading; the second includes English conversation and presentation of works and collections.
STUDY PROGRAMME:
The course will address specific terminology of the fashion industry through the use of texts in the original language and visual material.
In addition, we will analyze articles in specialized magazines, such as: VOGUE, COSMOPOLITAN, GLAMOUR, HARPER’S BAZAR and books used in American Institutes of Fashion.
During this course the frontal lessons will be held exclusively in English by mother tongue and bilingual professors.
At the same time we will cover the following topics:
Merchandise Terminology
Stylistic Terminology
Journalistic Fashion Terminology
Cool hunting
